Welcome!
This is my showcase! Here you will find some of the projects I have been working on since I retired, just a few years ago.
Like this bookshelf for my daughter!
And this bunk bed for my grandson.
You will find more of my work in the Gallery.
And, since my family and friends all seem to have wishlists, I will be adding more projects soon.
Just as soon as I finish that sleigh bed!
The sleigh bed is done! Photos are here.
Now I'm working on a desk!
Take a look - it's a work in progress.
Memories
Early in 2006, a woman named Cressida Fforde, an archeologist from England, contacted me. She was part of a group who are putting together a history of Kington, a town which was the site of a British Army Camp. There was a large U.S.Army hospital there during the war, and they were trying to find veterans who were treated there to get input about their treatment and thoughts about the town. They have been working with the U.S. State Department and apparently tracked me through the records of those who were awarded Purple Hearts.
It was a remarkable experience, talking with Cressida. You can read more about the Kington Camp Hospital and my experiences (and listen to the interview with me), here: Kington Camp Hospital Project
Thanks for stopping by!
